According to an article that was recently published by The Times Of India or the TOI, for Vivek Vance, who was celebrating his birthday, Modi chose a jigsaw puzzle. It featured distinctive Indian folk art traditions.
The puzzle showcased three renowned art forms. One was Kalighat Pat from West Bengal, known for its bold strokes and vivid colours depicting divine and social themes. There was a Santhal Painting, characterised by earthy tones portraying tribal life. Lastly, there was a Madhubani Painting from Bihar, celebrated for its intricate patterns and mythological motifs.
Modi shared the moment on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), highlighting the “wonderful meeting” and the joy of participating in young Vivek’s birthday celebration. Vance reciprocated with appreciation, noting his children’s delight with the gifts and expressing gratitude for the meaningful conversation.

The meeting took place following the AI Action Summit, which Modi co-chaired with French President Emmanuel Macron. During the summit, Vice President Vance expressed support for Modi’s perspective on artificial intelligence, emphasising that AI would enhance human productivity rather than replace human capabilities.
It preceded Modi’s scheduled visit to the US for meetings with President Donald Trump. This upcoming visit, planned for February 12-13, will mark their first encounter since Trump began his second term in office.
