And with there being so many options of dates available in the region, people are often left spoilt for choice. As it happens, this is exactly what you can expect at the ongoing Souq Al Jubail Date Festival, which is back in Sharjah for its eighth edition.

Dates are undoubtedly one of the most important and popular fruits in the United Arab Emirates. And if you also happened to be someone who loves dates, then you are in for some brilliant news, as the eighth edition of the Date Festival is back at Souq Al Jubail in Sharjah. Yes, according to a report by Khaleej Times, this festival kicked off on Thursday, June 15, which attracted many residents. The best bit was that they were left spoilt for choice with the many options of freshly harvested dates. At this festival, guests can expect about eight stores that are offering a wide range of dates grown locally and from neighbouring countries as well. Moreover, the report also mentioned that this festival is going to run till September.

You Can Expect Around 30 Types Of Dates

This is touted to be a particularly successful addition, as the participation of vendors included those from across the country and the Gulf region. As it happens, people can expect around 30 types of dates available at the ongoing fiesta, and more are being added. Some of the popular choices here include Al-Muzaini, Al-Jabri, Al-Baql, Nagal, Khneizi, Al-Salani, Al-Hilali, Al-Khashkar, Al-Khasab, Bu Maan, Barhi, Lulu, Khalas, Khadrawi, and Shishi, to name a select few. Awesome, isn’t it?
