“He Is The Luggage,” Netizens Amused To See Passenger Cosily Lying On Train’s Luggage Rack In Viral Post

India and ‘jugaad’ go hand in hand. The dexterous display of resourcefulness is ingrained in our blood. But there are times when the humble jugaad is taken to new heights. Literally! Take the example of a recent viral post on Reddit that shows a traveller comfortably lounging on a luggage rack perched above the seats on a train. Needless to say, Netizens were beyond amused and couldn’t stop themselves from flooding the post with witty comments.

Man Seen Lounging On Train’s Overhead Luggage Rack In Viral Post

Taking to the r/indianrailways Sub-Reddit, a Redditor, AGuywithBigMouth, posted a picture of a man cosily stretched out on a luggage rack of an Indian Railways train. The man is seen nonchalantly using a bag as a pillow, with his legs stretched out in front. In the overhead luggage compartment, he lies down, casually scrolling on his phone. A state of complete normalcy is seen in his demeanour. The passenger is seen surrounded by neatly arranged bags belonging to fellow passengers seated right below him. This adds to the absurdity of the entire situation.

This moment is etched in the hallmark of the quirkiest passenger antics in Indian Railways. After all, it’s not his luggage but he who has occupied the overhead rack. Causing chuckles, is his core level of comfort and an aura of total normalcy. There are no onlookers, at least in this image. And the passengers seated right below him are dozing off or occupied on their phone. No one seems to care about this bizarre situation. Or perhaps, they cared and now they’ve just accepted it as the new normal.

Netizens Joke That He Is The Luggage

But Netizens had a field day in the comments section. One person commented that the man isn’t carrying luggage, because he is the luggage. Another person pointed out how the average Indian is considered as luggage in the manner they travel in packed trains in almost inhumane manner in UP and Bihar regions. Another Redditor wondered how this was even possible in the first place. ‘Was he the luggage of a person?’ another wondered.
