Keylong In Himachal Records Hottest Temperature In 10 Years At 19.8 Degrees

This year summer has arrived way earlier than it does. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had already predicted heatwaves across the country. They have further predicted warmer days ahead with no relief from the heatwaves spell. Global warming is real and the increasing temperatures are proof! Keylong recorded the highest temperature in 10 years at 19.8 degrees. Some places are already tagged as the hottest in India. But these places will suffer the most this summer.

Mercury Goes Merciless

Mercury has been hitting 40 degrees Celsius in Vidarbha and Marathwada of Maharashtra, West Rajasthan, Gujarat, and West Madhya Pradesh. Temperatures reached as high as 40 degrees Celsius in many states. Heatwaves are due this year in North and Central India, where temperatures nearly reached 40 degrees Celsius in March.

Heatwave Predictions

West Rajasthan may experience heatwave conditions to severe heatwave conditions, while isolated heatwaves in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada are also possible.

Several distinct pockets of heat are likely over southeast Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathawada.

There are predictions of rain in the Northeast region of India.
