Expect the exceptional because the legendary Chef Hemant Oberoi has returned home and has opened his newest restaurant Hemant Oberoi at BKC.
The man behind Tajmahal’s biggest culinary achievements – Zodiac Grill, Wasabi and Souk – has opened a new, 3000 sq ft restaurant in BKC. When Hemant Oberoi opens a restaurant, Mumbai pays tribute. The opening night had names like Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Karan Johar and more in attendance. The food supremo did not disappoint. Unlike the latest trend of sourcing local ingredients, Hemant prefers to stick to the old-school fashion. He sources ingredients from their origin countries and takes pride in it.What Is It?

What To Eat?
Hemant Oberoi, BKC boasts a Peruvian twist to its meals. The European decor matches the menu – which is rather global in nature. From Asian style Chilean Sea bass served with orzo pasta and spinach to an Italian-influenced ravioli, you just can’t pin-point a cuisine. The menu has interesting names like duck liver, escargot (snails) and some dishes reminiscent from his Taj days (brie and truffle soufflé). The chocolate shwarma comes highly recommended by the stuff and is probably worth a try.

The Interiors
Hemant Oberoi’s newborn venture boasts a gorgeous light installation by designer Shailesh Rajput. The space itself has lots of woods merged with tones of red, gold and black. The 3000 sq ft space is like a European cafe with a global touch.
