Chef Vikas Khanna Celebrates Mother’s Day With Mrs Sabharwal
Taking to his Instagram handle, Vikas Khanna shared a glimpse of his heartfelt Mother’s Day celebrations with Mrs. Sabharwal. The octogenarian was lovingly escorted in a wheelchair by Khanna and welcomed with fragrant mogra (jasmine) garlands. The celebrity chef knelt next to her and adorned her hands with jasmine flowers. Mrs Sabharwal decorated his pyre and little temple in Bungalow with fresh flowers.
The staff at Bungalow happily approached her and sought blessings from her as they humbly touched her feet. The team at Bungalow celebrated a very special Mother’s Day with, Mrs Sabharwal, a motherly figure, who played a very important part in shaping Vikas Khanna’s career. In his caption, Vikas Khanna explained wholeheartedly about the importance of Mrs Sabharwal in his life, especially in the early days of his career.
She Was His 1st Employer In New York
Vikas Khanna described it to be a “blessed” Mother’s Day. He narrated that she was one of his first employers, 26 years. The Michelin-starred chef would visit her apartment to cook and clean fro her. What touched him the most was that the woman saw something in him that he couldn’t see in himself. Khanna stated that her encouragement and belief gave him strength. When she visited his iconic restaurant in New York for Mother’s Day, his heart felt full beyond words. That’s because she humbly extended blessings to his chefs and his space.
