Eid Al Etihad or the UAE National Day celebrations are just around the corner. However, with the holidays for both public and private sectors, it is important that one follows all the important rules and regulations that have been put in place for the people. In fact, 14 such guidelines have been released for the residents in the UAE that they must follow during the holiday. Take a look!
Regulations Released For Eid Al Etihad
As Eid Al Etihad draws close, residents are already preparing to celebrate the important day for the 53rd year on December 2. So, to enjoy the long weekend, authorities are asking people to adhere to all the necessary rules and guidelines that have been released for their safety. Mostly these are related to traffic and vehicle regulations, so, you might want to keep these 14 rules in mind and adhere to them, as you when you’re out for the celebrations.

Rules To Follow For The Long Weekend
- You must avoid organising or participating in random marches or gatherings.
- You must follow all the traffic regulations and the instructions that have been issued by police officers.
- Drivers, passengers, or even pedestrians must refrain from using party sprays.
- The front and rear license plates of the vehicles must remain visible and residents are not supposed to alter the vehicle’s colour or darken (or tint) the front windows.
- Any kind of stickers, signs, or logos must not be placed on the vehicle unless they are for the UAE National Day. And they must adhere to all the government guidelines and conditions.
- The permitted number of passengers in the vehicle must not be exceeded. People are not allowed to put their heads out of the window or through the sunroof of the cars.
- Unauthorised modifications to the vehicle must not be made. And unlicensed features should not be added either, which can disrupt noise and vision.
- Whether on external or internal roads, performances of stunts are not allowed.
- One must not cover the vehicle’s side, rear, or front windows with stickers. Additionally, one must avoid using sunshades that can block visibility.
- It is allowed to wear scarves that have been specifically designed for Eid Al Etihad celebrations.
- Only the red flag of the United Arab Emirates is allowed to be raised. Yes, one is prohibited from raising the flag of another country.
- The volume of songs and chants must be limited to those who are related to the Eid Al Etihad celebrations.
- Shop decorations and drivers are prohibited from fixing stickers or flags other than those that have been approved for National Day.
With several events being lined up across the country, residents are in for a treat on the four days. So, make sure to abide by these important rules during the long weekend.
