The global surge in Covid cases has hindered travel around the world. The Indian Government’s upgrading rules & regulations have been a helpful medium throughout. The Government has made it easier for passengers looking to travel back to India by extending air transport pacts to as many as 33 countries. To ensure safety among the nation, the government is insisting states take precautionary measures. International visitors travelling in India from or transiting through “at-risk nations” must pre-book their RT-PCR test beginning December 20, 2021, according to a Government of India circular dated December 14, 2021.

Travel From U.K
All internationally planned flights have been cancelled for the time being. A limited number of flights between India and the United Kingdom continue to operate, according to a bilateral arrangement between the two countries.
Rules Before Boarding the Flight-
- Fill out a self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha App beforehand.
- Upload a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report from a test completed within 72 hours of the voyage
- A declaration with respect to the authenticity of the report.
On Arrival-
- Pre-book your RT-PCR Test and wait at the airport to obtain the results.
- If results come negative, self-isolate yourself at home for a week.
- A negative COVID19 test result is required on the 8th day.
- If positive, the traveller would be held in isolation for 10 days.

Travel From U.S
U.S Government has issued by level1 & level 2 health notices with respective teams to ensure safe travel. U.S Citizens are advised to maintain utmost precaution during their travel to India. A possibility of high risk of safety & security is alerted.
Before Boarding The Flights-
- An individual should be fully vaccinated to enter the country.
- It is a must to upload a self-declaration with a negative RT-PCR report to the Air Suvidha portal taken within 72 hours prior to departure for India.
- The tourist can obtain flu vaccines in order to be better protected against a large flu epidemic.
- Adhere to the precautions put in place by India to combat Covid-19 outbreaks.
On Arrival-
- All travellers will undergo thermal screening upon arrival in India.
- If tested positive, the traveller would be held in isolation
- A rapid antigen test would cost INR 3,500 and the results would take 1.5hr.
- An RT-PCR test would cost INR 500 and the results would take 5 hrs
- If tested negative, you need to self-quarantine for a week.
Travel Within India
For international and domestic air travel, various states may have varying entrance procedures. This may include banning admission for foreign nationals or demanding quarantine for international travellers. Entry criteria are subject to change at any time. Before you fly, make sure to verify with your airline.
Except for returning Indian nationals, all land borders with Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Nepal in East and North East India are closed to human movement.
