Honey Singh Shared The Stories Behind His Famous Songs
After making the shocking revelation that he doesn’t drink alcohol anymore, it was time to indulge in some more food. As we headed for Thorat’s Baarbeque Misal, we asked him how he comes up with the lyrics of his songs. We were really curious to know what inspired him to write these songs. Honey Singh shared that everything he writes comes from the people and world around him. He is a keen observer who takes mental notes of everything that goes around him.
He shared that the first song he ever wrote was ‘Dope Shope’, and it was inspired by some girls he actually saw smoking joints in Delhi in 2009. Revealing the story behind the blockbuster song ‘Chaar Bottle Vodka’, he shared that he wrote that one while he was on an Australian tour with Shah Rukh Khan. After he saw some people protesting against him and his music, he was a little heartbroken.
Later that night, he joined his choreographer and dancer and emptied four bottles of vodka. And that’s how this song was made in a night. Even with the song ‘Paani Paani’, he revealed that it might be a stupid song, but this is what the audience wants to hear, and he is there to cater to them.
