In this episode of Tere Gully Mein, we visit Huda Market in Gurgaon with comedian Pratyush Chaubey, aka Jethji. Pratyush takes us to his favourite spots, including B Ten Café and Laxman Stall, sharing childhood memories and stories from his life. He opens up about his bond with his brothers and fellow comedians like Ravi Gupta, Aashish Solanki, and more. Pratyush also gets candid about how much comedians really earn while also opening up about his regrets, spiritual beliefs, and favourite tracks.
Comedians And Their Earnings: The Truth Revealed
When asked about comedians’ earnings, Pratyush confidently says that they are doing well. He states, “Kamaa toh rahe hai, bohot paise acche se kamaa rahe hai,” adding that while money is important, he takes greater joy in seeing comedians performing shows in various countries. He also expresses a sense of envy when he sees comedians like Harsh Gujral performing in smaller cities across India, highlighting the growth in the industry.
For Pratyush, recognition is what matters most, and he values being respected in the field. After discussing their work, Pratyush takes us for a “gedi” around Gurgaon. As we cruise through the streets, the conversation turns to music, and we learn about Pratyush’s car jams.
