How To Use Swiggy And Zomato’s New Group Ordering Feature, A Step-by-Step Guide

Swiggy and Zomato have introduced an exciting new group ordering feature, making it easier for users to order food together without the hassle of passing around a single phone.

Swiggy And Zomato’s New Group Ordering Feature

This innovative feature is designed to streamline the process of group orders, allowing multiple people to add their preferred dishes to a shared cart from their own devices. Here’s how you can use this feature on both platforms.

The payment process remains the same as any regular order, with the person who initiated the group order responsible for completing the transaction. Zomato’s group ordering feature, while similar, is being gradually rolled out to its users.

Step 1: Update and Open the App
Ensure you have the latest version of the Swiggy or Zomato app. Once updated, open the app and navigate to the home screen.

Step 2: Create and Share the Group Order
Find the ‘Group Ordering’ option on the app and tap on it to create a new group order. You’ll be provided with a link or QR code to share with up to 40 people.

Step 3: Add Items to the Cart
Participants can use the shared link or QR code to join the group. Everyone can browse the menu and add their preferred dishes to the shared cart from their own devices.
