And when in Delhi, visiting Amrit Udyan is a must. Mughal Gardens in the Rashtrapati Bhavan has been renamed Amrit Udayan on 28th January 2023 by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. When Can You Visit Amrit Udyan?
There are different times to explore the gardens. Take a look at all the dates here.
- The place is open every day of the week except Mondays.
- Mondays are meant for maintenance.
- The time to enter here is 10 AM and the gates are open till 5 PM.
- There are a total of 6 slots to enter here.
- 7,500 visitors are allowed to enter the garden during each of the first 2 slots of weekdays. The number gets increased to 10,000 on weekends. And the time is from 10 AM to 12 PM.
- 5,000 visitors can enter the garden in each of the next 4 slots on weekdays. And the number increases to 7,500 visitors on weekends.
- Cameras are not allowed inside Amrit Udyan.

The garden will be closed to the public on these days:
- After 26 March, the public won’t be able to explore the gardens for a couple of days.
- Amrit Udyan will be shut to the public from 28 March to 31 March.
- Only some people from distinct categories are allowed to enter here in these 4 days.
- The doors are open only for farmers on 28 March.
- On 29 March, disabled people can enter here.
- 30 March is only for the paramilitary, armed forces, and police.
- And lastly, 31 March is for women working with self-help groups of tribal women.
How To Enter Inside?
- Visitors can enter Amrit Udyan from gate no. 35. The gate to exit is 35 as well.
- It is completely free of cost to explore the colourful gardens.
- You can book your slots both while entering the garden and online.
