As per the report of Mercer’s Quality of Living Ranking 2018, Hyderabad has been voted the best city in India for the fourth time in a row!
What Is It?
Yet again, Hyderabad has proved to be the best city to live in across our country. For the fourth time in a row, Hyderabad has been ranked to be the best city, keeping in mind the quality of life. It shares the spot with Pune, that has greatly improved the quality of life within a span of two years.
Vienna from Austria has secured the No. 1 spot and a majority of European cities still remain at the top of the list.

What Do We Know?
Until last year, Hyderabad was holding up on 142 (worldly rank), whereas Pune was on 151. Both cities share the ground of pleasant weather and low crime rates, making them the ideal cities to stay in India.
As per the statistics last year, Delhi was the lowest at 162 (also been lowest for the 3rd time in a row) owing to its high crime rates, bad air quality and traffic conditions.
More cities that have been showing improvement are Bengaluru and Chennai, as they have secured 149 and 151 this year. Along with that, despite Mumbai’s traffic and overcrowding, it still manages to win hearts by staying on the 144th position.
