I Travelled To Bhutan To Explore The Unknown & The Buddhist Kingdom On The Himalayas Left Me Speechless!

Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan and popularly known as Land of the Thunder Dragon, is a paradise for those travelers, who want to explore the unknown and are willing to take the road less traveled. I think that the Happiest Country is an underrated place as not many people know about the splendors of this beautiful destination. You will not see huge crowds of tourists there, but ranging from picturesque lush green valleys to happening nightlife, Bhutan has something for everyone.

It took me one week and INR 20 thousand (including everything—conveyance, accommodation, food, shopping, etc) to explore major attractions of Bhutan—Paro, Haa, Phuentsholing, Thimpu, and Punakha. The country, measuring its development in Gross National Happiness, is able to keep its citizens content. You will know this yourself when you will talk with them.

Go through the pictures below to experience the variety Bhutan has to offer. This virtual tour of the Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas will leave you in awe!

I hope these gorgeous pictures motivated you to travel to the Buddhist nation. Don’t forget to add this stunning country to your travel bucket list!
