For anyone trying Indian food for the first time, it can be love at first bite. Especially, if you dig into popular dishes like dosa, butter chicken or dal. That’s exactly what Ava Lee, a makeup influencer from New York felt when she devoured a masala dosa for the first time. Read on to see her sincere reaction to the South Indian staple.

Makeup Influencer Tries Masala Dosa & Loves It

Ava Lee, a New York-based influencer, took to her Instagram handle to share a heartwarming story. Known for her beauty and skin-care-related content, she revealed in a reel that while she loves Indian food she has never had homemade Indian food. Her Indian doorman’s wife was grateful for the beauty products Ava Lee gave her. To express her heartfelt gratitude, she made Ava a homemade Indian meal.

The makeup influencer showed a steel bowl filled with crispy golden homemade samosas and called it the “best thing ever”. Later, she showed a ziplock bag filled with dosas neatly wrapped in paper, revealing she had never had the dish before. The dosas were parcelled with small plastic jars filled with different kinds of chutneys.

Asks Her Followers To Help Her In Identifying The Dish

“I’ve never had this in Indian restaurants earlier. Please tell me what this is,” says Ava to her followers while holding up a dosa. The influencer was intrigued by the mildly spiced potato and onion filling, a clear giveaway to what the dish really is — Masala Dosa. “It’s a pancake situation,” she says while taking bites of the sumptuous dish. She said she was obsessed with the dish and it tasted delicious. And even rated it a 10 out of 10.

Needless to say, Netizens were delighted to have Ava try their favourite dish as well. Many commented that it was “Masala Dosa” helping the makeup influencer identify the dish. A commenter even called it a Set Dosa thanks to its soft, spongy texture. A person even asked her to have it fresh out of the pan next time to enjoy the dish to the fullest.
