As the temperature continues to drop, the next few days will bring with them a cold wave and dense fod, particularly starting on December 22, according to the Jagran reports. These conditions often create visibility problems and can disrupt daily life.
Himachal Pradesh’s hill stations in the north are preparing for bitter cold. An orange alert has been issued by the IMD for a number of districts, including Bilaspur, Una, Mandi, and Hamirpur. Cold temperatures and significant snowfall are predicted for the region. There has already been snowfall in places like Lahaul and Spiti, Kullu, and Chamba, Jagran reported. Lighter but still significant weather is predicted by the yellow alert in these areas.
The weather department recommends that residents, especially children and the elderly, avoid unnecessary travel during these days, as the snowfall and slippery roads could create hazardous conditions.
