The relentless downpour, which began on Saturday, has brought traffic to a standstill in several parts of Hyderabad. Roads across the city have become waterlogged, making travel challenging and dangerous. In response to the situation, IndiGo, one of India’s largest airlines, has issued a travel advisory for passengers flying to and from Hyderabad.
The airline has warned of potential flight delays and urged passengers to monitor their flight status. It will allow them extra time to reach the airport due to the adverse weather conditions.

Heavy Rains Disrupt Flights, Schools, And Daily Life
In addition to flight disruptions, the ongoing rains have led to the closure of all primary and secondary schools, both private and government-run, across Hyderabad. The decision to close schools on Monday was made as a precautionary measure. It aims to ensure the safety of students amid the severe weather conditions.
According to the Republic World, the IMD has also issued warnings about potential hazards such as electrocution and further traffic delays. Municipal authorities have also been advised to issue necessary warnings and work on clearing waterlogged areas to minimise the impact on residents. Emergency response teams are on high alert to handle any emergencies arising from the ongoing rainfall. Residents of Hyderabad have also been urged to stay indoors and avoid needless travel.
