In some good news and what is being seen as a major boost for IT aspirants, a new direct train service connecting Gwalior to Bengaluru was inaugurated on Thursday. While Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia waved the green flag at the Gwalior Railway Station, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw virtually flagged off the new train service. New Weekly Train Service Connecting Gwalior And Bengaluru

A weekly express train from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh to Bengaluru in Karnataka was flagged off on June 26. This train is special because it is the first on the route and people from all walks of life gathered at the Gwalior Railway Station to celebrate this new route on the Indian Railways’ network.

Taking to X to share about the new weekly Gwalior-Bengaluru train, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “Now, students, IT professionals, and traders from Madhya Pradesh will find it easier and more comfortable to travel to Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.”

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who also joined passengers for part of the inaugural journey, said that the new train is more convenient for the passengers. He said that the weekly Gwalior-Bengaluru express train will take around 30 hours and help save passengers a lot of time. Elaborating further, he mentioned that people will no longer have to travel to “Kota, Bina, and Bhopal to catch a train for Bengaluru” and spend an additional six to eight hours on travel.

All You Need To Know About This New Route

The newly-inaugurated Gwalior-Bengaluru train is being called a major milestone for the Gwalior-Chambal belt. It will considerably help students heading to Bengaluru for higher education and also job seekers looking for opportunities. According to the Indian Railways, this new train will depart from Gwalior at 3 PM every Friday. It will arrive in Bengaluru at 7.35 AM on Sunday.

On the return journey, the train will leave from Bengaluru at 3.50 PM, every Sunday. It is scheduled to reach Gwalior at 10.25 AM on Tuesday. The Gwalior-Bengaluru express train will have 22 coaches and take 30 hours to reach from Madhya Pradesh to Karnataka capital.
