Omar Abdullah wasn’t the only one frustrated with the operational chaos at the Delhi Airport. According to a Hindustan Times report, there have been massive flight delays and operational disruptions over the past two weeks at the airport due to some ongoing runway work.

Seeing this, the civil aviation ministry is likely to direct the Delhi Airport authorities to hit the pause button on the ongoing work on one of its runways. As per the advisory committee overlooking the entire matter, the runway work should be temporarily suspended. This will come into effect in the next 10-12 days. The work at the runway will then continue after the third week of June, after the peak summer travel season.
