Independence Day 2024: Pani Puri Vendor, School Principal & More Invited For The President’s ‘At Home Reception’

The Independence Day 2024 is just around the corner. Among the many traditions observed in the celebration of the day, one is the ‘At Home Reception.’ It is an event hosted by the president of the country, who currently is Droupadi Murmu. Typically, the invitees consist of dignitaries from various fields. However, for the first time in history, the At Home Reception will extend invitations to common citizens from all over the country.

Independence Day 2024: Invitees For At Home Reception

According to an article which was recently published by The Times Of India or TOI, so far, more than 150 people have been invited for the At Home Reception. A Deccan Chronicle or DC article mentioned that Megaverth Chiranjeevi – a pani puri vendor – has also been invited.

He is from the Tenali region of Andhra Pradesh. Another invitee, as per oHeraldo, is the principal of Government High School or GHS in the Morpirla village of Goa. Her name is Maria Murena Miranda. She also happens to be a National Award recipient.

Ms. Arya S from the Neyyattinkara municipality of Thiruvananthapuram is also invited. The Thiruvananthapuram South Postal District took to Instagram to share her invite.

Other Invitees To The Event Hosted By The President

In addition to these people, three from Ahmedabad in Gujarat and six people from Assam have also been invited. From Ahmedabad, Dr. Pranjal Modi, who is the director of the Institute of Kidney Diseases & Research Center at the Institute of Transplantation Sciences is invited.

Shri Nareshbhai Jogaram Parmar is also invited from Ahmedabad and Shri Joravarsingh Jadav, who is a folk artist, is also invited. From Assam, Devendra Jalihal who is a professor at IIT Guwahati; a renowned Sattriya Dancer – Jatin Goswami; Junto Kalita Dutta, Kanteswar Kumar, Namita Kalita and Reema Bora have been invited.

If reports are to go by, all the invitees were delighted to receive the invitation. They expressed their gratitude toward the president and were looking forward to attending the reception.
