India hosted a two-match test series between the host country team and Bangladesh a few days back. India emerged victorious by 2-0 showcasing spectacular team performances every day. Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium hosted the five-day second match. The cricket tournament concluded with no balls bowled on the second and third day. Given the updates, BookMyShow initiated the refund process for fans to claim money spent on booking tickets for the India vs Bangladesh 2nd test. BookMyShow Initiated Ticket Refunds For Day 2 & Day 3 Of India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test Match

Taking to Instagram, BookMyShow shared the official news with Netizens.

Day 2 and Day 3 of the India vs Bangladesh 2nd test match was abandoned. No balls were bowled on any of these days at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Ahead of the tournament, many fans bought tickets to enjoy the sports live from the stadium. However, the match ended a lot earlier than expected. Now, BookMyShow is offering refunds to all eligible customers for Day 2 and Day 3 of India vs Bangladesh’s 2nd test match “in accordance with the terms and conditions of the match,” according to the official statement.

Updates for customers who have booked tickets online but did not collect them:

  • The refund process for buyers who have booked tickets on BookMyShow but did not pick them up will start in 5-7 business days.
  • The ticketing platform will issue a refund for the ticket’s face value. It will be credited directly to the original payment mode.
  • Buyers do not need to collect physical tickets anymore.

Updates for online ticket buyers who have collected physical tickets:

  • Customers who have collected physical tickets but did not enter the stadium on Day 4 and Day 5 will need to visit the stadium or the UPCA Office to apply for a ticket refund.
  • They need to submit Aadhaar card copies, original physical tickets, and bank details. In return, they will receive receipts for submitting the documents. The refund will be transferred within 10 days.

These rules are the same for box office and outlet ticket buyers.

More Information About Claiming Refund

  • The official procedure to initiate a refund at the match venue began on October 4. It will continue till October 6. The operational hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM.
  • Customers can submit their refund forms in the UPCA Office starting from October 7.
  • October 31 is the first refund cycle close date.
  • The second refund cycle is from November 1 to November 30.
  • Lastly, the third refund cycle starts on December 1 till December 31, 2024.
