Viking Mars Cruise from India To Thailand is the first one to dock in Mumbai, India. This is a piece of great news for the tourism industry given it has been through tough times throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this year, Director General of Shipping Amitabh Kumar ordered the Cordelia cruise ship to immediately discontinue its operation after the cruise, with numerous Covid-19-positive passengers onboard, reached Mumbai from Goa. However, Viking Mars Cruise, India’s shipping authorities will finally get to see the light of day.
About The Viking Mars Cruise From India To Thailand
The six-month-old Viking Mars Cruise operated by Switzerland-based cruise operator Viking will dock at Mumbai on November 13 en route to Thailand. The ship carrying 800 passengers, will be on a journey to discover Sri Lanka’s colonial history during its time as Ceylon and explore India’s heritage and culture. Once the ship arrives in Mumbai, the passengers will be able to see iconic landmarks, such as the glamorous Taj Mahal Palace hotel and Gateway of India. After Mumbai, the cruise will ferry passengers through Portuguese-influenced Goa – home to magnificent colonial-era architecture.
