As per the report shared by Atlys, close to half of all spiritual visa applications were linked to the Maha Kumbh. The scale of the event is truly staggering! The authorities anticipated more than 400 million attendees. However, the Uttar Pradesh Information Department reported that more than 57.1 million devotees participated in the sacred bath at Triveni during Mauni Amavasya alone.

What is even more mind-boggling is that the total attendance surpassed 199.4 million. The festival’s impact extends beyond religious significance, catalysing substantial growth in the hospitality sector.
