If Sunday Brunch is where celebrities spill secrets over food, and Teri Gully Mein is where cities come alive through their lanes and local bites, then Curly Tales’ newest IP, Atithi Devo Bhava, is where the world gets a front-row seat to India’s soul. Atithi Devo Bhava, which translates to “Guest is God,” sums it all up. And this series takes that idea and transforms it into an immersive cultural exchange that feels warm, endearing, and genuinely unique in today’s digital storytelling.

What Makes Atithi Devo Bhava Unique?

Atithi Devo Bhava shows India through the eyes of its guests. But instead of just talking about culture, this series immerses its guests completely into it, letting them experience India in a very real, very personal way. Foreign ambassadors are invited to participate in this cultural journey to learn about India’s customs, cuisine, art, and rituals.

The guests don’t just observe Indian culture from afar; in fact, they become a part of the experience. This exploration of Indian culture is as real as it gets, from participating in ceremonies and admiring classical artwork to dressing traditionally and enjoying regional food. Curly Tales’ Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, hosts each episode, guiding the guests through the day and making every experience fun and interactive.

To make every experience memorable, a cultural expert joins the guests and explains the history, significance, and anecdotes of each custom. Jan Thesleff, the Swedish Ambassador to India, appears in the first episode of Atithi Devo Bhava and explores Tamil culture. He spends the day with Kamiya Jani in Delhi, learning about Tamil Nadu’s traditions, art, and food. The Ambassador even visits a Tamil temple in Delhi while donning a traditional veshti to learn about rituals, prayers, and customs.

Curly Tales’ New Series Celebrates India

The second episode is already shot, and it’s going to be another beautiful cultural celebration. It will feature the Arab Ambassador, exploring Maharashtrian culture in Mumbai. With traditional food, regional celebrations, and even an understanding of the vibrant local arts and crafts, you can look forward to yet another exciting cultural experience.

India is more than just a country; it is a collection of traditions, languages, foods, artwork, and stories. Sometimes it becomes even more magical when you see it through the eyes of someone who is experiencing it for the first time. This series truly celebrates what Atithi Devo Bhava stands for, turning every cultural exchange into a tale worth hearing.
