Our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, had a memorable Sunday Brunch with none other than the good-looking and talented father-son duo Jaaved Jaaferi and Meezan Jafri! The duo spoke about sharing screen space for the first time in De De Pyaar De 2, their healthy diets and gym routines and much more. Moreover, this time, Kamiya made a very interesting revelation about her Boogie Woogie connection during her school days.
Kamiya Jani Didn’t Clear Boogie Woogie Auditions
The moment Kamiya walked into Jaaved and Meezan’s gorgeous Bandra home, she was given a home tour. The actors showed her their spacious balcony that opened up to the city skyline, their vintage CD collection and even Jaaved Jaaferi’s 30-year-old jackets! The sun-kissed home, filled with lush green planters and earthy tones, looks stunning. Later, the trio got talking about Bollywood and family.
Kamiya started the conversation by revealing that she had a bone to pick with Jaaved Jaaferi. The Curly Tales honcho revealed that she actually auditioned for the dance show Boogie Woogie, judged by Jaaved Jaaferi, Naved Jaffrey and Ravi Behl. “I told my entire school that I was heading for the Boogie Woogie auditions. But I didn’t get selected,” she said. Later, Kamiya said that her sister, Payal, got selected, and she was able to enjoy the show as part of the audience, cheering for her sister.

Jaaved Jaaferi Revealed Even Tamannaah Didn’t Make It
To this, Jaaved quickly shifted the blame to his former co-judges, Naved and Ravi, and hilariously told her to speak to them instead. “I was there only when the selected people arrived for the competition,” shared Jaaved.
It’s not just Kamiya Jani who couldn’t clear the audition round of India’s cult dance show Boogie Woogie. Jaaved Jaaferi revealed that even Bollywood’s favourite dancer and actress, Tamannaah Bhatia, wasn’t selected for the show. Laughingly, Jaaved shared that the Aaj Ki Raat star revealed on stage about her failed Boogie Woogie auditions while promoting their show, Do You Wanna Partner. “It was very embarrassing for me,” said Jaaved.
