This time, we had stand-up comic Harsh Gujral take us around the gullies of Kanpur in UP, including his school, St. Stephen Senior Secondary, introducing us to his teachers and indulging in a snack of mattha. Harsh Gujral even revealed the most “unreal moment” of his life, and here’s all about it.
Harsh Gujral Reveals Most Unreal Moments
Our Kanpur darshan with Harsh Gujral took us to Wala Baba Foods for the city’s famous Baba Biryani. Serving fragrant biryani and Shahi Tukda since 1982, the spot is a legend amongst Kanpur folks. The stand-up comedian said the restaurant became fancy over the years. Harsh Gujral savoured the biryani and Malai Tikka. As the celebrity gorged on his biryani, we asked him about some of the most “unreal moments” of his life.
To this, he revealed that he had always wanted to be part of the audience on The Kapil Sharma Show. He had even rehearsed funny questions he’d ask the guests. So, life came full circle for him when he actually walked into the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show as a guest. For Harsh, Kapil Sharma is like his guru. The way he presents himself, he confesses, is a bit similar to the comedy legend. At that time, the Kanpur lad was over the moon and even assumed that nothing greater than this could happen in his life.
Remembers 7 Am Call With Akshay Kumar
This was until a few weeks later, when his mother heard him talking to someone on the phone at 7 am. “Mummy, Akshay Kumar hai,” he replied. Khel Khel Mein director Mudassar Aziz called Harsh and later told him that actor Akshay Kumar wanted to speak to him. For 30 minutes, early in the morning, he had a long chat about all things stand-up with the actor.
The third “unreal moment” in Harsh Gujral’s life was making it to KBC. He called it the biggest moment as nobody can match up to the evergreen Amitabh Bachchan’s legacy. Sitting and cracking jokes in front of Big B was truly an unreal moment for him.
