This Sunday, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, sat down for a delicious meal with actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty. Before the Sunday Brunch began, the duo opened up about their on-set camaraderie, recalling their first impressions and how quickly they formed a genuine bond. They spoke about their working experience, the comfort they built with each other, and how food played an important role in bringing them closer!
Tamannaah Bhatia Recalls First Impression Of Diana Penty
As actresses, Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty often met each other during events, award ceremonies, and other work-related events. Their interactions were minimal to limited to pleasantries only. It was only when they came together for their upcoming show, Do You Wanna Partner, that the duo actually got a chance to speak and get to know each other better.
“I knew she was a tad bit reserved, and I am a little baatauni (talkative), so that commonly works as they compensate for each other. But when I met her, I realised she is also very chatty. The moment she opens up, she is very chatty,” Tamannaah Bhatia revealed about her on-set interaction with Diana Penty.
“It just happened while we were shooting. We developed a genuine bond; there was nothing fake about it. Whatever it was, it was very honest. Whether we were comfortable or uncomfortable about something, it was always very real. That’s how we managed to shoot for 50 days continuously, and they were very hard days. We were trying to shoot eight episodes in 50 days–which I think is a very ambitious idea, but I think we managed that because we both were calm and composed, and we were very supportive of each other,” she added.
Diana Is A Big Foodie!
“When I first met her, I was like: Oh, she is a live wire! That was my first impression,” Diana Penty shared about Tamannaah. “She is super chatty, bubbly, and has very nice energy, which was great because with that she compensated for my quietness,” she added.
We asked Tamannaah Bhatia to share something about Diana Penty that most people don’t know. Without skipping a beat, she said, “She can really eat. She can put like three guys to shame! Please size pe matt jao, she can really, really eat big.”
“I thought I was a foodie, and then I met her and I realised she is a step ahead of me too! This was another reason to bond because food really brings people together,” Tamannaah wisely added.
