“I Wanted More Women To Join The Workforce,” Upasana Konidela On Why She Started URLife

Over a hearty Sunday Brunch, Upasana Konidela opened up like never before. She spoke about her love life, being a celebrity wife, and most importantly, shared her journey as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. She spoke about the vision that inspired her to establish URLife, India’s largest wellness and occupational health service provider.

Empowering Women & Vision Behind URLife

“URLife was started with me joining the Indian workforce. What I realised was though we were a family of so many women, there were not so many women coming into the workplace. We realised that if we created a safer workplace, people can have trust with their employers. Then the workplace will become a better place for people to thrive. So, we started URLife, which is the largest health, wellness, and occupational health service provider for corporate India,” Upasana Konidela shared.

When we asked what exactly URLife does, she elaborated, “We take care of all your wellbeing needs. If you have a medical emergency, we take care of you. More than that, we give your solutions to make your workplace much better because you’re spending most of your waking hours at work. So, in terms of taking care of your health, giving you the right menus to put in your canteens, helping you with any problems you have at the workplace, URLife does all that.”

This is a truly unique idea, and we couldn’t resist asking Upasana Konidela what inspired her to start this project. With her characteristic poise, she shared, ‘The reason I did it was because I wanted more women in my organisation, and more women to join the workforce.’

Home Is Holiday For Upasana Konidela

Of course, we had to ask Upasana Konidela who’s more fond of travelling between her and her husband, Ram Charan, and she quickly responded, “I have realised, for me, home is a holiday!” She went on to elaborate how she can stay at home happily. To this, Kamiya jokingly added, “Can I be honest? Your house looks like a resort! Why would you even need to go anywhere else?”

“When we go out, I like to explore and there are things that I need to show my daughter, so that’s also there,” Upasana adds.
