In our recent episode of Tere Gully Mein, we met him for a special episode in Kanpur, where he took us to all the iconic spots in the town, from Thaggu Ke Laddu to the Banarasi tea stall. Colourful Samosas With Kapil Kanpuriya

After indulging in some wholesome chole bhature in Kanpur, Kapil Kanpuriya took us to the iconic Pappu Samose Waley, known for selling a wide variety of samosas that are also colourful. These colours are added as hints to differentiate one variety from another. He reveals that his favourite variations here have always been the Paneer Samosa and Aloo Samosa.

Well, we have all heard of different samosas like Chowmein Samosa, Cheese Samosa and more. But have you ever heard of a Meetha Samosa? Well, that’s what Kapil Kanpuriya introduced us to at Pappu Samose Waley. He revealed that these samosas are stuffed with khoya, and after they are fried, they are dunked in chaashni. That’s what a meetha samosa is. Reminiscing about the old days in Kanpur, he revealed that when he used to work nearby, he would come here for lunch, starting with an aloo samosa and some water and ending with the meetha samosa and then water again. And that’s all he needed for lunch.

The Trait That All Kanpuriyas Share

In this episode, Kapil Kanpuriya also revealed that there is no other city he would ever live in. That’s how much he loves Kanpur. When we asked if there was a trait that unites all Kanpuriyas, he revealed that it is their ability to be happy. Even if they have no reason to be happy or to smile, or even if they have less, they know how to be satisfied and stay happy.
