In the latest episode of Stories From Bharat, our editor-in-chief, Kamiya Jani, visited Devyani Jaipuria, daughter of the Cola King, Ravi Jaipuria, at her residence, where she gave us a peek of her luxurious house. She also talked about her journey, her love for cold drinks and a lot more. Read on to know more about what she shared about her favourite food combination.
Devyani Jaipuria On Her Love For Pepsi
While giving us a house tour, Kamiya asked, “Where are all the cans of Pepsi and cola drinks hidden?” She stated, “We are so proud of being associated with Pepsi. So, yes, it’s nothing to hide. But yeah, we love it. We’ve grown up drinking Pepsi in cans and crates of Pepsi.” Kamiya further asked whether she drinks Pepsi or not, to which Devyani said, “Absolutely, I think whenever I’m stressed, I need a little rush. I need a kick. Pepsi is my go-to drink.”

Kamiya further said, “To pair it with food, I think it tastes even better.” To which Devyani agreed and said, “Especially with a pizza and a burger.”
Devyani Jaipuria On Her Marriage
Further, she gave us a glimpse of her beautiful dining room, and while spotting the pictures, Kamiya asked, looking at one particular picture, “Is that your husband?” To which Devyani stated, “Yes, that’s my husband. And this picture was taken on his 40th birthday. You know, the whole family got together – all of us – cousins, kids. Then we went to Bali. Then it was a four-day celebration in Bali.
Talking about her marriage, she revealed she had a mix of arranged and love marriages. She said, “A bit of both. I think he saw me in the gym. He tells me that the moment he saw me, he had made up his mind that he was going to marry me. And our families have known each other for 40 years. Really? His father and my father spoke, and we ended up getting married. We knew each other for about three months before we got married.”
She further said, “We met three or four times. When I spent time with him over coffee, I told my parents that I’m very comfortable with him and I can be myself with him. And I think that’s how the whole thing started.” She also revealed that they have been married for 20 years now.
