Sanjay Dutt Opens About Father Sunil Dutt, Equation With Salman Khan & More On Sunday Brunch With Kamiya Jani

This Sunday, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, enjoyed a hearty Sunday Brunch with the one and only, Sanjay Dutt. Over a delicious meal, the actor got candid like never before! He opened up about the deep bond and respect he had for his father, his early days in the industry, and also talked about his brotherhood with Salman Khan and Arshad Warsi. Here’s how it went down.

Sanjay Dutt Opens Up Like Never Before

For the latest episode of Sunday Brunch, Sanjay Dutt welcomed Curly Tales to his private suite and treated us with a delicious spread of grilled chicken, chilli chicken, and salmon. Before we got the party started, we played a fun and nostalgic game with the OG Khalnayak of Bollywood, where he shared stories behind some of his old pictures.

It was a trip down memory lane as we showed him some pictures from his childhood, debut movie, his parents, and friends from the industry. In his picture from his debut movie, Rocky, he shared, “I remember shooting this song, the set was set up at Mehboob Studio, and I was working with Reena Roy ji, Shakti Kapoor, Tina ji. I was nervous, but by the time we shot this song, I was pretty comfortable.”

Sanjay Dutt also opened up about an emotional moment he shared with his father, Sunil Dutt, on the sets of Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. He recalled that during the famous hugging scene from the film, even after the director said ‘cut’, he kept on hugging his father.

“Bahut hi emotional moment that woh, both of us really had tears in our eyes. It was genuine; it wasn’t acting at that moment. Neither of us could hold back. Even at the best of my work, he would say: Haan beta, acha kaam kiya. At this moment, I could really feel that he is so proud of me!” he recalls fondly.

Talks About His Equation With Salman Khan & Ashad Warsi

We also showed some old and new pictures of Sanjay Dutt with his industry friends like Salman Khan and Ashad Warsi. For Salman, he said, “He is a lovely person, like a younger brother. We can’t be detached, bhai hai apna!”

On seeing Ashad Warsi’s pictures, with a big smile, he said, “He is my Circuit! He is one of the most amazing people. Uski comedy timing toh amazing hai hi, bahut hi pyaara insaan bhi hai. He’s a very genuine friend!
