In what was no less than an energy-packed, health-focused Power Hour episode, our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, tried her hand at pilates with none other than Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter and entrepreneur, Sara Tendulkar. The fitness guru invited Kamiya to her pilates studio, where she shared her go-to wellness tips, made healthy smoothies and more.

Sara Tendulkar Credits Her Dad For This Advice

While practising pilates with Sara Tendulkar at her plush studio in Mumbai, Kamiya Jani asked her who was the stricter parent in her life. Sara revealed that her parents had different parenting styles. Her mother, Anjali Tendulkar, was stricter about academics, while her dad, Sachin Tendulkar, was particular about his children’s behaviour and their clothing.

Sara revealed that her father, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s best advice to her is: “Use your freedom and independence in a very responsible manner.” Since they were anyway talking about family dynamics, Kamiya asked the older daughter about who’s the more pampered one in the Tendulkar household. To this, Sara revealed that she always believes that the younger sibling has it very easy.

“I always felt I had to fight all the battles growing up while my brother (Arjun Tendulkar) gets to reap all the benefits.” She concludes, “But I think, that’s the case with all the younger siblings.”

She Made Protein-Packed Smoothies For Kamiya Jani

Later, Sara leads Kamiya to her smoothie bar, Kynda, at her pilates studio. The best part? The smoothie bar has all recipes curated by the celeb-nutritionist Sara Tendulkar. Kynda Fruity was Kamiya’s choice, which was a concoction of Greek yoghurt, vanilla protein powder, mixed fruits and berries. The pilates guru explained that the drink is packed with antioxidants and protein. What did Sara make for herself? Kynda Earthy was her pick, which has matcha, vanilla protein powder, almond butter and frozen bananas. The duo paired their protein smoothies with fresh salad bowls too.
