Karan Johar Talks About His Business Risks
Karan Johar is known for his movies as well as his magnificent style, especially those airport looks. But on this episode, we decided to dive into something much deeper: the decisions and intuitions that he runs his business with. On an exciting note, Kamiya Jani asked him about that one business risk that he took that actually paid off. While he didn’t particularly consider it a business risk, he admitted to producing some movies that he didn’t expect to perform well commercially, but they ended up doing so. One of his latest productions, Kill, was a high-budget, high-concept, action-packed film with a new lead actor. And this movie didn’t just garner love nationally, but also received high praise internationally.

And when we asked Karan Johar about the qualities he looks for in entrepreneurs, he named drive, ambition, and genuine hard work. He believes that there is absolutely no substitute for hard work, and he is always on the lookout for people who are genuinely willing to put in the effort. He says, “Bolte toh bahut log hain, kabhi kabhi bhi bakwaas hoti hai. And you can sell a lot of bakwaas. You have to see kaun aisa banda hai jo waqai kaam karne wala hai.”
