Our Sunday Brunch episode began with Kamiya Jani stepping into the stunning Hyderabad home of Upasana Konidela. Apart from being the actor’s wife, Upasana leads a successful life as an entrepreneur, heading Apollo Hospitals’ CSR as Vice President, and as the founder of UR Life and Athamma’s Kitchen. She has also been honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Philanthropist of the Year and has featured in Forbes’ Tycoons of Tomorrow list. Truly, Upasana is a star in her own way.
After welcoming the Curly Tales team into her home, Upasana opened up about how motherhood has completely transformed her life, calling every day a new challenge. Since she works closely with hospitals, she has also become more mindful of her eating choices. Unlike many who turn to sweets when feeling low, she revealed that she avoids doing so. She considers herself a foodie but also knows exactly what to eat and what to avoid.

Her Favourite Food Spots In Hyderabad
When asked about her favourite food spots in Hyderabad, Upasana Konidela did not hold back. She instantly recommended the food stalls around Charminar, famous for some of the best local flavours. Next on her list was Toli Chowki, well-known for Mediterranean kebabs, and Andhra pop-ups serving spicy Andhra-style food. Honestly, her picks already had us tempted to try them out. Her food choices led to a fun question: between her and Ram Charan, who enjoys spicy food more? Without hesitation, she said, “Him!” adding, “I can’t take too much of it.”
We then asked her to share a place in Hyderabad that holds special memories for her and Ram Charan. She recalled a sweet story from their dating days, when she wanted to test his love by challenging him to take her to the Famous Ice Cream shop. Since he was a celebrity, she wasn’t sure if he would agree. But he did, and took her out on that date. Upasana Konidela added, “He passed with flying colours.” Honestly, it felt straight out of a rom-com movie or a novel, right? The episode then moved forward with the most-awaited part: Sunday Brunch itself, along with a fun game of “Who’s Most Likely To” with Upasana.
