Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s sea-facing residence in Bandra West, Mumbai, is no less than an iconic landmark in the country. The parties that spill over to daybreak, interiors decked by wife, Gauri Khan, and SRK’s favourite place, the library, have piqued the interest of his fans. Recently, comedian Gursimran Khamba revealed being in awe of the actor’s 24-hour kitchen and the constant stream of snacks available for guests at Mannat. Praising SRK’s hospitality in front of the late actor Irrfan Khan, Khamba revealed Irrfan was a tad bit jealous.
Gursimran Khamba Reveals Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat Has A 24-Hour Kitchen
Former member of All India Bakchod (AIB) and comedian, Gursimran Khamba, recently started a podcast with his wife, actor Ismeet Kohli. On the recent episode, Khamba recalled shooting a podcast with Shah Rukh Khan at Mannat, nearly a decade ago, when he was part of the now-defunct comedy group.
Khamba recollected shooting an hour-long interview with the Jawan actor. The comedian recollected visiting Mannat and witnessing the kitchen that ran throughout the day. The almost 24-hour kitchen kept sending streams of snackables and drinks. Gursimran Khamba spoke about a tray wheeled in with drinks and food. It instantly made the North Indian in him very happy. Moreover, the AIB member revealed that, like him, Shah Rukh Khan is also fond of finger food. “Stuff is there and you just keep eating,” he told Ismeet.
On the podcast, the comedian revealed 2 things about Shah Rukh Khan. First, when the actor has a book in his library, it’s testimony that he has read it. Khamba draws parallels with other actors who keep books in their homes to pretend to look intelligent. Whereas SRK is a voracious reader with an enviable library.
Irrfan Khan Felt He Wasn’t A Gracious Host
Secondly, whenever he stepped into the actor’s home, snacks were always available. While he was visiting SRK’s home for work commitments, during that time, Khamba was also visiting the late Irrfan Khan’s home to work on the never-released show Gormint for Amazon Prime. The comedian recalled being served nimbu pani (lemonade), chai and nuts at Irrfan Khan’s home.

To pull his leg, Khamba revealed that Shah Rukh Khan would serve him great snacks at Mannat. Hearing this, Irrfan immediately became conscious and started asking the comedian what he’d like to eat. Hearing Khamba’s words made the veteran actor feel like he wasn’t a gracious host. “It was cute,” recollected Khamba. After this incident, Irrfan Khan’s wife, Sutapa, would always ask Khamba if he wanted something else to eat. Khamba laughed that he could poke fun at the veteran actor as he shared a very informal bond with him.
