It’s getting cold! North India is shivering, but do you know which city is also feeling the chills this year? Bengaluru! Residents are feeling an unexpected chill with this cold weather. Would you believe that on Saturday, the early morning temperature in the city dipped to 16°C and the daytime temperature to 21.6°C? And naturally, people found the exact moment to unleash hilarious memes on the internet.

Bengaluru Records Its Coldest Day Of The Year


According to a report by Hindustan Times, Bengaluru recorded its coldest day of the year on Saturday. The unexpected drop in the weather left many Bengalureans complaining about the cold spell. It was too cold and gloomy. People flooded the internet with their takes on the current weather in the form of memes because, yes, no matter the situation, the memes should not stop.

One X user, @AyeWhatMan, posted a meme saying, “It’s-officially-cold-in-Bangalore starter pack.” The meme shows a person sneezing, a person snuggled up in a blanket and paracetamol. This one is relatable not just for Bengalureans but for North Indians too.

Another Bengaluru resident, @Me_Mohit11_, posted an image saying people in the city have already started wearing windbreakers, hoodies, mufflers and more to deal with the winter. He also wrote, “Looks like real winter has begun in Bengaluru.”

Not just the residents, one US woman also took to Instagram (@danamarieplus3) to share her take on the weather. She uploaded a video sharing the comments left by Bengalureans on the current weather posts. And honestly, all of the comments she shared were too funny. One comment said, ‘Is this Bengaluru or London?’ Another comment said, “I am wearing two pairs of socks right now.” The woman also wrote a caption under her post that said, “How did I survive a childhood in Michigan?” You should know that Michigan, a state in the United States, is known for its harsh and cold winters.

Wait, the memes don’t stop here. An Instagram user @daivatcm also posted a Bigg Boss Kannada-inspired take on the weather. The video shows the guy covered in a blanket while eating, working and sleeping with time stamps. Users felt this video was too relatable and couldn’t stop themselves from laughing in the comments.


One X user @UnfairAdvntg also wrote, “Cold, gloomy and raining! Bangalore is having London’s weather today!” We think Bengalureans are now experiencing London vibes in their city. It’s great if you see it from a positive point of view, right?


Another X user also wrote, “17°C but feels like being caught between a refrigerator and a stuck refrigerator door, and the only way to survive it is to turn into a burrito!”

 

An X user @sreesha223 also uploaded a funny meme saying, “Bengaluru since 2 days.”

Though many Bengalureans were finding it tough to handle the unexpected cold weather, many residents also noted that this might be the best weather to cosy up in sweaters, enjoy hot chocolates and sip on hot soups. Many users also joked about how North Indians might be judging them hard right now. But no matter what, the memes are funny and have made our day.
