Here’s why fans were upset.

Fans Bash The Organisers For Mismanagement At Akon’s Concert In Delhi

Seeing Akon perform live is a dream for many who grew up listening to hits like Smack That, Lonely, and Chammak Challo. When he announced his India Tour 2025, fans were thrilled and rushed to book tickets. However, what was expected to be a nostalgic night turned out to be a disappointing experience.

The Delhi concert on November 9 left several fans disappointed. One user, @EshesN, took to X and wrote that they paid nearly ₹3,000 but couldn’t even see the stage properly. She added, “This was a huge waste of my money and my time. I didn’t see the artist or the stage.” Many others slammed the organisers, District by Zomato, for poor crowd management and a pathetic setup.

Poor Visibility And Sound Issues Disappoint Fans

Another fan on X (@janhvi_kohli) shared her disappointment, saying she had bought silver tickets but still couldn’t enjoy the show. She wrote, “I booked silver tickets at the Akon concert in Delhi happening today, and I mean, you can’t have trees and the sound system blocking my view?” Another X user commented, “Just wanted to give a shoutout to @district_india for organising a horrible @Akon concert! Thank you for ruining an experience for the Millennials out there!”

The concert drew widespread criticism for poor visibility, sound issues, and mismanagement. Fans complained that the venue wasn’t suitable for this concert and that watching Akon on a large screen was not what they had in mind. In addition to this, many said they would have been better off watching his videos at home.

District by Zomato later responded to one of the fan complaints. They wrote, “Hi there, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how this impacted your experience, and please be assured we’re continuously working with the event partners to address these concerns and improve future experiences for all attendees.”
