According to The Free Press Journal, Mumbai’s coastal infrastructure is all set to get a major boost because the Dahisar-Bhayandar Coastal Road has finally received a green signal! This much-awaited project will improve commute and cut travel time between Nariman Point and Mira-Bhayandar to just 30 minutes, from the current two hours.

Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced a breakthrough for the Dahisar-Bhayandar Coastal Road. He added that the Union Salt Commissioner has handed over 53.17 acres of land to the Maharashtra government, clearing a major hurdle that had long delayed the project.

He mentioned that the land was important to build a 60-metre-wide road connecting Dahisar to Bhayandar, which is a key component of the larger Mumbai Coastal Road project.
