As a cricket fan, I am super excited for the start of the Indian Premier League 2026, just like many others. But before the actual show begins, one of the most popular IPL teams, the Mumbai Indians, hosted their first-of-its-kind fan experiential festival, The MIX. The two-day event was filled with fun games, interactive sessions, music and a variety of food options. I personally had the best experience witnessing the high energy of the MI fans before the league started. Read on to learn about my experience at MIX.
Inside Mumbai Indian’s Experience The MIX
The MIX, which was held on the 21st and the 22nd of March, kicked off spectacularly, transforming the venue into a high-energy playground where an ideal blend of sports, music, and fandom came together to support the Mumbai Indian team. The evening started with a fun musical line-up, starting with Sugahunny B2B Hanshyre. After the banger start, Sanju Rathod added a vibrant, crowd-friendly Marathi flavour with hits like ‘Gulabi Sadi’ and ‘Shaky’ and a surprise appearance by cricketer Hardik Pandya, keeping fans hooked and singing along throughout, breaking out a few moves too. Well, my favourite part? DIVINE’s performance indeed! He delivered a commanding performance with some of his hits like ‘Mere Gully Mein’, ‘Apna Time Ayega’, ‘Wallah’ and ‘Mirchi’.

After DIVINE’s performance, the final surprising act was when the Mumbai Indians squad came up on stage to meet and interact with their biggest fans before the season began. I personally love cricket, and watching Rohit Sharma from so close was indeed special. Not only him, but we also caught a glimpse of Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Kieron Pollard and Naman Dhir. Well, the craze was indeed energetic, as Rohit Sharma, along with Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav, also promised to bring the sixth IPL trophy home.
An Ideal Blend Of Sports, Music & Food
The night just didn’t end there; after a lot of screaming, photoshoots, dancing and singing along, we headed to the other fun booths of the event. The Dugout, the gaming truck, turned into a battleground of bragging rights, with console clashes and interactive games sparking friendly competition. Just a few steps away, the carnival zone burst with fun, playful energy as people were quite literally flexing their exclusive The MIX merch. Every corner doubled as a photo op, and the photobooths made sure no standout moment went uncaptured.
After taking a whole lot of tours of the event, I was headed to Khau Galli, basically the food and beverage zone, which was just amazing. Tried Croffle Guys for the first time, and it was mindblowing. The J fries just satisfied all my peri-peri fries cravings, and lastly, the beverages were quite refreshing too.
The event ended with the last performance by Nucleya, who played some of the best tunes like ‘Long Gawacha’, ‘Bass Rani’ and ‘Take Me There’ along with remixes of Bollywood and regional hits like ‘Choli ke Peechhe’, ‘Mala Jau Dya na Ghari’, ‘Dola Re Dola’ and ‘Thodi Si Daaru’. This performance provided the perfect ending to the entire day.
