Halwa is one of those beloved Indian desserts that can instantly make its way to our hearts (and second helpings!). From gajar and moong dal to sooji and aata, the list of delicious halwas is endless, and so is their fan following. But have you ever imagined a halwa made with Oreos? And not just regular Oreos, but the BTS Hotteok-flavoured ones that fans are currently loving? Probably not! Well, a food creator has done exactly that, leaving us to question everything we know about halwa, and, of course, ARMYs have plenty to say about it!
Food Creator Makes BTS Oreo Halwa
Another day, another food experiment that makes us question everything we know about food! For those unaware, BTS recently collaborated with Oreo to launch a special Hotteok, or Korean Sweet Pancake, flavour. Since its release, the cookies have been flying off shelves, with many supermarkets and online grocery stores often running out of stock.
But that’s not what we’re here to talk about! Food creator Jaspreet Singh Devgun (@chefjaspreet.singh) took the BTS Korean Sweet Pancake-flavoured Oreos and turned them into halwa, and, well, fans are not exactly impressed with the creation.

Recipe and ARMYs’ Reaction To The Dish!
To make the unusual dessert, Jaspreet Singh Devgun adds 15-20 BTS Oreos to a kadhai, followed by 1 litre of milk, and cooks the mixture until the biscuits dissolve completely. He then adds 2-3 tablespoons of ghee, ½ cup sugar and a handful of chopped cashews and almonds.
After stirring it until the mixture thickens, the BTS Oreo halwa is ready — if you’re brave enough to give it a try!
As you can imagine, the comments section was divided over this unusual dish! While some fans were curious enough to give the BTS Oreo halwa a try, others had one simple request for the creator — please don’t make it again!
Someone hilariously commented, “J-Hope must be judging us.”
“Mat kar lala. Mat kar,’ another user commented.
“Please, please don’t do this ever again!” a user commented.
