Another day, another coffee experiment. While doomscrolling on Instagram, I, a coffee paglu, found another coffee recipe and couldn’t stop myself from trying it. Last time, it was coffee with rasgulla, and now I am back with another combination: coconut water with coffee. Here’s how I made it and my honest take on its taste.
I Tried The Viral Coconut Water Coffee
Coffee is something I actually love to experiment with, from adding new ingredients to trying different combinations. Last time, I tried coffee with rasgulla and found the taste quite unique. But this time, I tried a new coffee recipe that uses coconut water. Many creators on Instagram were trying it, so I thought, why not me? It sounds simple, yes, but the taste might just blow your mind. The recipe is simple to follow. Just take a sipper and fill it with lots of ice (yes, lots) and add coconut water. I used real coconut water, but you can use the packaged one if you want.
Now take another glass, add two teaspoons of coffee, a little bit of sugar, and one tablespoon of cream. Froth it using a frother until the mixture turns slightly thick and creamy. Now pour this mixture on top of your coconut water and stir it properly. That’s it, your no-milk coconut water coffee is ready. It’s easy to make. Now here comes the taste test.

The Coffee Paglu In Me Is Clearly Impressed!
The first sip was honestly refreshing. The chill of that ice-cold coffee made me instantly feel a little energised. I took another sip, and then another. The aroma of the coffee was a little light and nutty. It did not fully smell like coconut water or coffee, more like something in between, while the taste was honestly delicious. It is a drink that a coffee lover like me can enjoy every day. The coffee bitterness was there, but that was balanced by the natural sweetness of coconut water.
The cream I used gave the beverage a slightly velvety touch without overpowering the taste of coconut or coffee. If you like iced Americanos, then coconut water can be a great alternative to plain water. I think I can even set aside my favourite iced cappuccinos for this no-milk coconut water coffee on days when I want coffee but don’t want to feel heavy with all that milk.
In short, the drink feels energising, light, and refreshing. It is perfect for hot summer afternoons. I will definitely be making this more at home!
