We’re back with yet another episode of ‘The Internet Made Me Try It’! This time, I gave in and tried the viral Pringles and chocolate block combination that’s been all over my feed lately. This two-ingredient snack looks simple enough, and if you’re someone who doesn’t want to try it before an honest review, then scroll on!
Trying The Viral Salty Pringles & Sweet Chocolate Block Snack
Okay, the never-ending saga of craving something salty after something sweet, and then wanting to balance it out with something sweet again, is very real! So when I came across the now-viral Pringles and chocolate block snack online, I thought, sure, this looks easy and promising, but honestly, I would like to put it out there that it wasn’t something new.
The trend calls for just two ingredients–salty chips and the internet has collectively decided it has to be Pringles, and some milk chocolate. The idea is simple: you melt the chocolate and pour it into a can of Pringles. Once the chocolate cools slightly, you place the can in the fridge and let it set. I left mine overnight, but it actually set within a couple of hours. Then, you take it out, tear away the packaging, and what you’re left with is a clean, aesthetically pleasing Pringles-and-chocolate block.
I decided to use one small pack of Pringles and added 150 grams of melted Amul milk chocolate. It was just enough to satisfy my curiosity without worrying about wastage or leftovers. That said, it’s worth noting that the internet has long been experimenting with coating salty chips in milk chocolate. The difference here is that those recipes usually involve dipping individual chips, while this trend delivers the same flavour combo with far less effort, or so you feel initially, and a lot more visual satisfaction.

Our Honest Take On This Combo!
Now, coming to the end result—while tearing open the Pringles can to reveal the chocolate-coated chips is incredibly satisfying, cutting it into pieces is where my struggle began. The internet promised neat, chunky blocks, but I ended up with messy, asymmetrical ones!
That said, the internet was absolutely right about one thing—the crunch is phenomenal. And the taste? Surprisingly satisfying. It makes for a great movie snack or even a late-night craving fix. Would I try this hack again? Definitely not. I think dipping individual chips in melted chocolate is much easier, more convenient, and uses far less chocolate.
Should you try it? Sure, why not! It’s fun and can actually turn into a nice activity to do with family or a loved one.
Of course, the internet has already moved beyond basic milk chocolate! People are now experimenting with white chocolate, strawberry matcha, peanut butter, and even Biscoff. But who are we to judge? Try whatever suits your taste buds and just have a good time!
