1. Bira 91 Taproom

Bira 91 has finally arrived in Pune, and the city couldn’t have asked for a better first impression. Located at The Mills in Sangamvadi, the Bira 91 Taproom is large, lively, and instantly inviting. From classic Bira favourites to experimental small-batch brews, there’s something here for every kind of beer lover. What really makes this taproom special is “Make Play Thursdays”, where a brand-new beer is launched on tap every single week. Pair that with comfort food like sliders, flatbreads, and Asian-inspired small plates, and you’ve got a place that keeps you coming back.

2. Coffee Nation

Coffee Nation’s new outlet in Viman Nagar feels familiar yet refreshed. While it brings along its comforting food and reliable coffee, the highlight here is the new community space upstairs, making it ideal for work-from-café days, meetings, or long, relaxed brunches. The menu is straightforward, cosy, and fulfilling. Imagine hearty pastas, loaded sandwiches, masala omelettes, and traditional desserts like New York-style cheesecake and cinnamon rolls. From rich hot chocolate to Vietnamese iced coffee and affogato, the beverage menu caters to every mood.

3. Cafe Vanah

Vanah is one of those places that instantly makes you slow down. This 100% vegetarian cafe feels calm and airy, with soft lighting, earthy tones, and a stunning glass ceiling that lets sunlight pour in. With dishes like Broccoli Tikki with Murukku, Khubus with Kothimbir Wadi, and Ragi Mushroom Alfredo, the menu emphasises using fresh, regional ingredients. Abbie’s Gelato is not your usual ice cream stop. This newly opened spot is all about small-batch, artisanal gelato made with 100% natural ingredients and bold, unexpected flavours. Yes, they serve fried gelato, and it’s every bit as fun and delicious as it sounds. But that’s just the beginning. From sweet-salty combinations like Dulce de Leche with potato chips to light and refreshing vegan sorbets made with papaya and melon, the flavours are playful yet well-balanced. One of the most interesting scoops here is the Yakult Blueberry Gelato, which combines a yoghurt base with slow-cooked blueberry jam and buttery biscuit crumbs.

5. Le Ven

Le Ven is quietly becoming one of Pune’s best places for pizza lovers.
