Some restaurants make you rethink Indian street food entirely, and Tiffin Terrace By Kadak at Iconiqa is one of them. We landed up here on a particularly harsh rainy day for the Noon Gets Naughty concept, chasing Indian street food done videshi-style, alongside a cocktail menu inspired by distinctly Indian flavours. What followed was one of the more inventive meals we’ve had in a while.

The Chaat Gets A Cold Twist

The Palak Patta Chaat sets the tone immediately – classic street-style chaat, but topped with piped frozen yoghurt and mint chutney instead of the usual curd. It’s a clever swap, though green chilli came through stronger than expected on our palate, which is worth keeping in mind if you’re spice-sensitive.

Mushroom Dish That Was A Showstopper

Field Mushroom With Truffle Dust brings together enoki, wild mushrooms and shiitake in a blend that somehow tastes distinctly Indian despite the ingredient list reading otherwise. It’s an unexpected flavour bomb that lands exactly where it needs to.

Pani Puri Flights, Dosas & Kebabs That Linger On Your Palate More Than You Imagine

The Pani Puri Flight offers four distinct waters – jeera, imli, green chilli and hing(asafetida) alongside an Italian lemon water variant. It was a fun way to taste the same format across very different flavour profiles. The Wazwan Jhinga also made an appearance on our table as part of the spread. The Bengaluru Benne Dosa, meanwhile, is a comforting classic done right: light, fluffy, served with three chutneys and a sambhar that’s genuinely capable of curing homesickness for a bit.

The Mains

Chettinad Chicken With Malabar Parotta delivers a rich, spicy gravy with juicy chicken chunks, elevated further by a flaky parotta on the side. Our one note: a touch more curry leaf would have rounded the dish out even better.

Dessert That Lingers

The Baked Cookie Skillet With Gajar Halwa Ice Cream is the standout of the night, a heavy, nostalgic Indian pudding flavour sitting on a perfectly baked chocolate cookie base. This is the kind of dessert you’ll find yourself thinking about days later.

Textures Of Saffron is just as strong a component: a hearty rava cake soaked in rich saffron milk, and just when you think you’ve found the dish’s ceiling, a hidden strawberry compote underneath delivers a genuinely joyful surprise.

The Drinks

IRasam is the cocktail that steals the spotlight, punchy and distinctly Indian in flavour thanks to its rasam base, with a hint of acidity and a subtle spicy aftertaste that lingers just right. La Vin Chini (Monalisa) is a spirit-forward pour with its own set of notes worth exploring on your visit. We closed things out with a properly crisp glass of Prosecco, a clean, refreshing way to end the meal.

The Verdict

Tiffin Terrace By Kadak takes familiar Indian comfort food and street snacks and reworks them with real technique without losing what made the originals comforting in the first place. The chaat, the mushrooms, and especially the Gajar Halwa cookie skillet are all worth going back for, rain or shine.
