Rajasthan’s Palace Of Wheels To Operate In May
The Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, Amit Sudarshan, confirmed the development to the Indian Express. He stated that the train will operate in May, and it will be the first time that the train will run during the month. Earlier, services were not planned in May due to the heat. However, this time, there has been high demand, which is why the train will operate in May as well.
Palace On Wheels is a collaboration between the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) and Indian Railways (IR). The service typically operates from September to April.

The official press release states that May in Rajasthan is not for the faint-hearted. With temperatures soaring past 42°C and the tourist tide also being comparatively low, most operators choose to wait for September and resume operations. A leading government-run bank has booked the entire Palace on Wheels for an exclusive journey. For the same reason, the Palace on Wheels will run specially during May after 45 years of its launch. It will run a six-day trip from May 20 to 25 from Delhi’s Safdarjung station.
