E-commerce food delivery platforms are now a part of our daily lives. These apps make it easier for us to get our favourite meals delivered to our doorstep. Thanks to the delivery agents or gig workers, we usually get our meals on time. These delivery agents invest their 100% effort to bring our food to us. But sometimes, showing a little bit of kindness towards them is enough to make their day. A viral video of a Swiggy delivery rider proves just that.
People Invite A Swiggy Delivery Rider To Eat With Them
A video on X posted by @Warlock_Aditya is now going viral. It shows people inviting a Swiggy delivery rider to sit and eat with them after he came to deliver a parcel. The video shows the man in his orange Swiggy uniform sitting at the table. He is clearly emotional and can be seen asking the people around him if he can eat the food on the table.
The people around him comfort him and reassure him. They tell him that all the food is for him and he can eat whatever he wants without asking. The Swiggy delivery rider then starts crying and says that he has been hungry since morning. He had left home after having just had a cup of tea. He then says, “Mujhe toh yeh bhi nahi pata tha ki mujhe bhook lagi hai” (I didn’t even realise that I was hungry). This statement has made thousands of people emotional on the internet.

Netizens React To The Emotional Video
The people who invited him also asked the Swiggy delivery rider how many children he has because they want to pack food for them as well. The delivery rider says that he has one boy and one girl, while continuing to eat. The video also highlights a reality of many fathers who forget their own hunger while trying to provide for their children. The video has since gone viral.
Netizens have naturally shared their opinions about it. One user wrote, “Sometimes such videos are required to soften the hearts of the privileged.” Another user pointed out that the people should not have recorded the delivery rider while he was crying. A third user wrote, “Even if people are making videos of their good deeds, it’s OK, at least they are doing good and projecting positivity.”
