25-Year-Old Institution Received A GI Tag For Haleem

The 25-year-old Pista House was the reason behind his possible food coma and biryani adventure. Pista House began as a humble family-run biryani shop in 1997. Over the years, it has transformed into a global culinary destination, spreading its aroma across Telangana and later to destinations like the USA, Oman and Kuwait. Preserving the true essence of Hyderabadi cuisine, Pista House’s haleem even received a GI tag in 2010, making it the first non-veg dish to receive this recognition.

Its rich culinary heritage, recipes passed down generations, and slow-cooking techniques employed are some of the reasons why it has gained fame over the years.
