He wrote, “What a moment—for Indian cuisine, for our culture, for every story that began in a humble kitchen.” The chef also mentioned that who would have thought that a boy from the narrow lanes of Amritsar, who rolled breads at the Golden Temple, would reach one of the biggest platforms in the world. Vikas Khanna, who once sold chole bhature as a small dream, is now among the world’s most influential voices.

According to Hindustan Times, the TIME 100 list of Most Influential People of 2026 also includes actor Ranbir Kapoor, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, US President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and more.
