All About Somvati Amavasya
For those who don’t know, Somvati Amavasya is said to be an auspicious and highly spiritual new moon day that falls on Monday. This year marks a rare and highly powerful alignment of Amavasya that is going to take place on Monday, June 15. The Somvati Amavasya also coincides with Adhik Maas.
Haridwar in Uttarakhand is known as one of the most holy places to celebrate the Somvati Amavasya. It is said that taking a holy dip at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar on this day not only cleanses sins but also provides profound blessings for ancestors and secures marital longevity.
We think it’s such a nice initiative to run a special train for devotees to celebrate the auspicious day.
