IndiGo, one of India’s leading airlines, has announced four weekly direct flights connecting Mumbai to major Central Asian cities. The new routes will include Tashkent and Almaty, starting from September 1 and 2, respectively. This move aims to strengthen connectivity from India’s financial capital and develop it as a key aviation hub. Here are all the details of these new flights.
IndiGo Announces New Direct Flights From Mumbai To Central Asia
In a move to boost connectivity from Mumbai and position it as a key aviation hub, IndiGo has announced four direct flights to major Central Asian cities. It has broadened its global network by introducing non-stop flights from Mumbai to Tashkent in Uzbekistan and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
The new Mumbai-Tashkent flights will take off from September 1, 2025, while the Mumbai-Almaty flights will begin operations on September 2, 2025. This announcement follows the recent launch of IndiGo’s direct flight on the Mumbai-Tbilisi route in Georgia, reinforcing the airline’s vision to transform Mumbai into a key aviation hub for global connectivity. These new flights will also cater to the growing demand for both leisure and business travel.

New Flight Schedule
- Flight No. 6E 1821 (Mumbai to Tashkent)- Effective from September 1, it will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The flight will depart at 9:55 am and arrive at 3:00 pm the same day.
- Flight No. 6E 1822 (Tashkent to Mumbai)- Effective from September 1, it will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The flight will depart at 4:20 pm and arrive at 9:55 pm the same day.
- Flight No. 6E 1817 (Mumbai to Almaty)- Effective from September 2, it will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The flight will depart at 7:00 pm and arrive at 12:05 am.
- Flight No. 6E 1818 (Almaty to Mumbai)- Effective from September 3, it will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The flight will depart at 1:25 am and arrive at 8:20 am.
Speaking about these four new non-stop flights, Mr Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, said, “Building on the successful operations from New Delhi to Tbilisi, Almaty and Tashkent, we are pleased to now connect all these destinations with Mumbai. Recently, we have also commenced our long-haul flights from Mumbai to Manchester & Amsterdam, marking our entry into Europe. With these, IndiGo will further strengthen connectivity from the country’s financial capital to destinations within India, as well as across the globe.
